RESIDENTIAL EQUITY FUNDING CORP. DBA RESIDENTIAL REVERSE MORTGAGE respects each individual’s right to personal privacy.  We will collect and use information only in the ways disclosed in this statement.  This statement applies to information collected at RESIDENTIAL EQUITY FUNDING CORP. DBA RESIDENTIAL REVERSE MORTGAGE’s home office, any branches that may be licensed, and on our Web site.

Part I.  Information Collection
RESIDENTIAL EQUITY FUNDING CORP. DBA RESIDENTIAL REVERSE MORTGAGE collects information via telephone, US mail and our Web site, for the purpose of securing a residential or commercial mortgage for those who apply.  If you apply for a mortgage on our site, we require that you provide certain personally identifiable information, including your name, address, phone number, current mortgage information and social security number.  This information is necessary to process your application and to contact you.

We verify the accuracy of this information by contacting those entities that may be contracted you, as well as reviewing your credit history.

The information we require is always collected voluntarily.  To receive our products and services, the need for the aforementioned information is mandatory because of the risk associated with mortgages. 

Part II.  Personal Information Usage.
The information collected by RESIDENTIAL EQUITY FUNDING CORP. DBA RESIDENTIAL REVERSE MORTGAGE will be used for the sole purpose of acquiring a mortgage for our prospective customers.  We will share this information only with safe, reputable business partners, such as licensed banks and credit reporting agencies.  Since there are many factors involving securing a mortgage for our customers, receiving personal information from a prospective client does not guarantee a mortgage.  Those who provide personal information can rest assured that we will give the best possible service while ensuring that their information is secure. 

We will send you strictly service-related announcements on rare occasions when it is necessary to do so.  For instance, if our service is temporarily suspended for maintenance, we might send you an email.

Generally, you may not opt-out of these communications, which are not promotional in nature.  If you do not wish to receive them, you have the option to deactivate your account.  

You will receive additional announcements from us via telephone, regular mail and/or email and newsletter, about products, services and special deals. Out of respect for the privacy of our clients we present the option to not receive these types of communications at info@residentialreverse.com.

The information we collect will not be used to create customer profiles based on browsing or purchasing history.  We will supplement information collected at our Web site with data from other sources such as credit history to authorize the process of securing a mortgage.

We may share data with the following Service Providers: Banks, Credit Reporting Agencies and Title Companies.  These Service Providers will use the information as follows: to test the viability of and to secure a mortgage loan.  Prospective customers may not opt out to have their information shared with these Service Providers once the customer agrees to continue the process of securing a mortgage.

We offer links to other Web sites.  Please note: When you click on links to other Web sites, we encourage you to read their privacy policies.  Their standards may differ from ours.

If our policy on information collection or uses changes, we will advise you by email or regular mail within a two month period from date of change.

We will not share your information with third party providers.

We reserve the right to disclose your personally identifiable information as required by law and when we believe that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights and/or comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process served on our Web site (also see Part IX Sharing Your Information Below).

Part III.  Access to Information
Prospective customers may request copies of specific information, such as credit reports and appraisals, upon funding of a mortgage.

RESIDENTIAL EQUITY FUNDING CORP. DBA RESIDENTIAL REVERSE MORTGAGE protects user information with the following security measures: ID’s and passwords for each workstation, firewall technology to protect our servers, limiting employee access to sensitive information, in-place policies and procedures for handling customer information.  We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it.  No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure, however.  Therefore, while we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. 

Part VI. Tracking Technologies

We post customer testimonials on our web site which may contain personally identifiable information such as the customer's name.  We do obtain the customer's consent prior to posting the testimonial to post their name along with their testimonial

There is mutual ownership between Residential Equity Funding Corp. and Fortitude Financial Services Inc. Fortitude offers Advisory Services including insurance and investment products. Residential Equity Funding Corp. may share your information with Fortitude Financial Services to offer you products and services. Any products offered by Fortitude Financial Services are not recommended by Residential Equity Funding Corp.

Part X. Opting Out

You may tell us not to share your information. If you do not “opt out” we don’t not share your information with any other entity anyway unless necessary to process your mortgage. You can “opt out” at any time by calling, mailing or emailing your request to the address below.
